The Super Bowl is back in Los Angeles after almost 30 years and the city is buzzing with excitement. The Cincinnati Bengals will face off against the hometown L.A. Rams, marking the second consecutive season where the Super Bowl host city is also playing in the big game. Tickets for the matchup on Sunday are not cheap and will set you back at least $6,000, with the most coveted seats fetching up to $40,000.
If you are a football-loving college student on a budget but would still like to take part in the Super Bowl festivities there are other options. From meet-and-greets with NFL players, photo ops with the Lombardi trophy, concerts by some of today’s hottest artists, winning prizes at apparel stores, there’s something for everybody.
The Super Bowl Experience located at the Convention Center in Downtown LA is the place to be. There will be interactive games where guests can meet players, shop for exclusive merchandise, and put themselves in the shoes of top NFL players by running football drills to see how they stack up against them.
If music is your thing, Pepsi is hosting the Super Bowl Music Festival at the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown LA. It’s a series of three concerts beginning on Thursday 2/10 and running through 2/12. Some of the artists who will be there are Miley Cyrus, Machine Gun Kelly, Green Day, and Gwen Stefani. Tickets start at only $12 on Vivid Seats.
If you’re looking to do some shopping, the Grove in Los Angeles has a pop-up shop where you can find Rams jerseys, shirts, hats, and more. But be prepared to wait. “I waited for over an hour to get in,” says Norman, a recent shopper who visited the store early Saturday morning.
Still have hope to attend the game? Local shoes and apparel store Shiekh is hosting a sweepstakes to win a pair of tickets. All you need to do is visit a participating store and sign up using their mobile app. While you’re there, purchase a Super Bowl branded t-shirt and Shiekh will throw in a copy of Madden 22 for the gaming console of your choice.
Los Angeles last hosted the Super Bowl in 1993 and there is no predicting when it could return. This week Los Angeles is undoubtedly the entertainment capital in the country and we are in the center of it.
