Students packed the gym Oct. 26 in support of the annual “Hallow-Hoops” event at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
This event kicked off the upcoming seasons for all fall and spring sports on campus.
With the event starting at 8:30 p.m., a DJ spun music while both the cheer and dance teams tunneled everyone into the gym.
Students, faculty and staff, as well as Teddy the Toro, showed their support at the event. The CSUDH dance and cheer teams were also in attendance, as they performed and pumped up the crowd.
Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams entertained the audience during the “Hallow-Hoops” events, while competing in a 3-point shooting, dunk, half-court shot and skills contests.
Other games and activities were being played. “Who’s the most athletic?” was one based on four selected members of the crowd to perform a task from every single sport on campus.
Prizes and gift cards were given to winners of these events.
To end the event, staff and SAAC passed out the schedule for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
