Editors Nore: This is a Bulletin podcast by Annais Garcia and Ben Verbrugge, who are both staff reporters for The Bulletin.
A few days before returning to in-person classes, three CSUDH Students; Alexis Nunez, who has a Nursing major, Abel Vera with a Psychology major, and Jesus Loza who is majoring in Journalism, participated in a round-table discussion to talk about their concerns about coming back to a populated campus during the COVID-19 pandemic. The weekend before returning to campus, over a Zoom call, these three students exposed the different sides of the situation expressing how they each felt about the return to campus midway through the semester. Without knowing each otherNunez, Vera and Loza presented their own unique perspectives. While sharing reasons as to why they felt one way or another about the topic, each student had their own specific reasons as to why they did or did not wish to return to in-person courses. While Nunez and Vera feel that the in-person classes are the best option for students after vaccinations, Loza shared his concern about being on campus and exposing himself and his family to any possible infection.
