The Women’s Resource Center will celebrate Women’s History month March 15 by hosting the fourth annual Women’s Conference in the Loker Student Union.
The conference titled, “Transforming Visibility Through Advocacy and Empowerment,’’ will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Artist and Black Lives Matter activist Nikkita Oliver and members of Mujeres de Maiz, a diversity-promoting collective known in English as Women of the Corn will be the guest speakers.
The conference will also have workshops designed to empower and educate students on issues faced by women.
In a time where women’s rights are once again being challenged, the conference attempts to provide a platform for the voices of women as well as minority and marginalized individuals to be heard.
To attend of this conference contact the Women’s Resource Center on Facebook @CSUDHwrc or find them at SCC 148.
