Cal State Dominguez Hills began strictly enforcing parking permits in all lots Aug. 28, and those who purchased day, semester or annual permits likely noticed price increases.
Student parking permits are up $10 to $120 per semster, and parking lot permit machines are up $2 to $8 a day.
Online parking permits will be available until Sept. 16. There are many alternatives to purchasing a parking permit.
Rideshare (carpool) is a convenient way of saving not only money on parking permits but as well as time spent trying to find a parking spot.
Rideshare is beneficial to students because CSUDH participants can earn commuter points. These points can be turned into gift certificates and can be entered into monthly drawings.

Live near the area? Why not use the bus? Student passes are a great form of saving money and time.
Student Bus Passes are only $18 a month and are available to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a minimum of 12-units or 12 hours.

Toro Express has three stops: Metro Blue Line, CSUDH and Artesia Transit Center. Running with three services: Morning 7:30-11 a.m., Alternating 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Evening, 5-10 p.m. See csudh.edu for more details.
